Open Up to Bi-folding Doors

Specify bi-folding doors in your replacement conservatory

Thursday 3rd December 2015

Bi-folding doors were once the domain of Grand Designs, yet these innovative doors are now being increasingly adopted in replacement conservatory projects as consumers look to be able to open up their new additional living space to the world outside.

We have developed a dedicated structural system called Bi-Span specifically for conservatory replacement projects with large span openings for bi-folding doors. This means whether it’s a new installation from our sister company A New Room or a replacement conservatory project, we can offer the most exacting of expert manufacturing and installation expertise.

Available in aluminium or composite timber, bi-folding doors make for the ultimate statement in any installation. We can offer these bi-folding doors in either of these options, both have an aluminium exterior face which provides more stability over a PVC alternative and offers typically slimmer sightlines, which means a larger expanse of glass. Typical colours include white or grey, but they can be manufactured in literally hundred’s of different RAL colours.

By their very design, bi-folding doors can be tailored to the most exacting of needs with the main, single traffic door position in the centre, left or right of the opening. They can open in, open out and can accommodate 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or even 8 panels and there are different handle colours available, along with other security upgrades.

If you want to replace your conservatory with a new one boasting the latest on trend products, then bi-folding doors should be near top of your list. In typical conservatory installations they can feature either to the side or on the front elevation. Either way they are a fantastic investment and what better way to open up your  home to the patio and garden outside!
