When Mr. Brides from Lancashire looked to replace his tired first generation PVCu conservatory, he looked to conservatory replacement specialists Refurbish My Conservatory, to help him completely transform the rear of his property.
The existing Victorian conservatory, which was glazed to the ground, was dirty, cold and in need of urgent replacement. It was used as a place to store outdoor items and things for the garden, as a once loved room had just become nothing more than a storage area, Mr. Brides wanted to rediscover his extended living space.

Mr. Brides decided upon a new Garden Room that would feature across the entire rear of the house, opening up the kitchen area thanks to some expert advice and guidance from Refurbish My Conservatory. With a ‘warm roof’ construction just like a traditional extension, this new Garden Room is as well insulated as the main fabric of the house. It has also added considerable extra living space.
Clever use of Velux rooflights also adds to the light and airy nature of this stunning feature to the property, which has also benefitted from garden landscaping. The brickwork was matched to the main fabric of the house with white PVCu windows and French doors, along with matching white soffit and fascia board.

Our Registered Installer T&J Conservatories built this single story extension in just three weeks, the existing conservatory was removed, new foundations laid and new brickwork built in keeping with the existing house, this took 10 days to complete, ready to accept roof and windows.
A greater use of brickwork in the new structure provided a feeling of solidity to the new structure, with the added thermal benefits of an insulated cavity wall construction. The Garden Room insulated roof and new windows were installed in just two days, at which point the electrical works and plastering finished the project. The result is less disruption in terms of the build time and less mess.
Our old conservatory wasn’t fit for our daily needs and needed replacing. We didn’t want a like for like solution, we wanted to explore our options for a larger room that felt part of our home. The Garden Room extension was the perfect solution, we are thrilled with the added space, the quality of product and more importantly the installers were first class from start to finish.
